To support effectively the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of workplace health, safety and environmental management system in order to ensure timeliness in the provision of safety and environmental services.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance and Monitoring: Undertakes a continuous systematic process to ensure the organization follows all relevant safety, laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification: Undertakes a structured process to find potential source of harm in the workplace and evaluating the level of danger they pose.
Incidental and Awareness: Ensuring that employees who are not directly responsible for high-risk tasks can still recognise hazards, protect themselves and report dangers.
Emergency Preparedness: Undertakes a continuous, proactive planning process to ensure an organization can effectively protect lives, minimize property damage, and maintain operations during a crisis.
Incidental Investigation: Undertakes a structured, fact-finding process to determine the root causes of an unplanned event.
Training and Awareness: Undertakes a strategic structured program to ensure every person in an organization possess both the conceptual knowledge and the practical skills to perform their work safely and competently.
Environmental Protection: Undertakes the practice of protecting the natural environment on individual, organizational or governmental levels for the benefit of both the environment and humans.
Minimum Qualifications
Form IV Certificate
Diploma in Environmental Science and Management
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literate
Able to write technical and analytical reports
Team working skills
Excellent Oral and Leadership skills
Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English and Swahili
