Job Description
To supervise installations, maintenance and repair of the pipeline, its cathodic protection system and associated infrastructure in order to ensure safe transportation of the finished product.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance Planning: Supervises effectively the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs of the pipeline, its cathodic protection system and associated infrastructure in order to ensure their working condition.
- Installations and Modifications: Supervises timely installations and commissioning of new pipeline features and associated infrastructure and modifications of existing ones in order to facilitate improved operations.
- Repairs: Ensures prompt repair of breakdowns on cathodic protection equipment and leakages and ruptures on the pipeline in order to minimize environmental pollution and loss of product.
- Civil Works: Oversees effectively works on company buildings/civil structures in order to maintain good working and living environment.
- Sectional Budgeting: Supervises and undertakes efficiently forecasting of requirements, scheduling expenses and creating budgets in order to facilitate resource mobilization.
- Personnel and Equipment safety: Supervises and undertakes effectively the inspection of cathodic protection installations, buildings/civil structures, right of way, pipeline and associated infrastructure in order to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Performance Management: Undertakes the implementation of performance management systems in order monitor and evaluate performance and develop remedial measures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Form VI Certificate
- BSc in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Member of the Engineers Registration Board (ERB)
Preferred Qualifications
- Able to write technical and analytical reports
- Leadership and supervisory skills
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Design/CAD Skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written in English
Minimum Experience Required
- Minimum of 6 years relevant work experience with 2 years at Management Level
